If an exceptionally large body part would cause soreness and pain in the creature then it is also alleviated when the spell takes effect. The spell does not affect carried or worn equipment, however. Nor does it affect the penalties or bonuses that a creature gains due to their size category. More specifically, the touched creature is able to withstand insertions of creatures up to 1 size category larger than itself without being injured or harmed as a result.
